LyraHer day had started out like any other day. She was lounging on the large rock formation known as the Alpha rock with her Mate, Shadow. He gently rubbed his nose on her swollen Stomach as the gentle movement within. All was Well, But it did not last long. Soon Shadow's brother approached and challenged him for the alpha position.
Scar never intended to fight fair as four other wolves Struck down the Current alpha. Shadow was no match for all five wolves and was quickly defeated. Scar turned on Lyra next, She was bearing the fallen alpha's Pups. In his eyes she was a traitor and had to go. Scar gave her two options; Kill her own pups once they were born or Leave the pack and never return. The Alpha female couldn't bring herself to murder her own pups, So she did the only sensible thing and left the pack. Her Amber eyes shot open as the dream ended and the light poured in. Her breath was slow as she let the dream Sunk it. It was a memory, one she'd never forget. Her banishment came at a bad time as her pups were due at anytime now. She needed to find a pack, it was important to their survival as well as her own. She had been traveling for days and took refuge in the truck of a large tree deep within an Unknown Forest. The former alphess pulled herself to her paws and raised her nose to the air. One deep sniff told her the land had many Smells of other wolves, But Would She Find a Pack here? Who's Territory had she wandered in? Lowering her nose she began to take slow steps into the forest. She paused several times to look around before Continuing onwards. Several times she saw potential Prey, but she refused to eat until she found a place to root her paws.

Lightning was hungry and there was no prey on the freshkill pile, so he decided to go out hunting. Yes, it was night and there were many dangers out there at that time, but he took his chances. It was better hunting since everything was dark and any prey wandering out for a snack was too sleepy to be on the alert. Lightning liked the idea of not too much effort on his part, but he also felt bad like it was cheating. He strode through the forest, wandering quite far from the camp in search of prey.
He smelled a deer nearby; it was a female, a doe. It was so close to where he was right now, on an ancient man-made path among the undergrowth. He didn't know how the doe did not smell him but he knew that sleepiness had something to do with it. Suddenly he saw a flash of white orbs in the distance... deer eyes.
He crouched dow into a hunter's position, the shadows of the wildly growing bushes and grasses concealing him. He was hidden in the blackness, and slowly but surely he stalked soundlessly toward the doe, like a barn owl flying silently down toward a mouse.
When he was close enough, he saw the opprtunity to strike and rushed forward, sinking his teeth into the deer's neck, blind in the darkness and having taken a chance of potentially missing his target. Luckily he didn't miss, and he had cut the life giving vein of the animal. Almost immediately the doe died and he sat down beside it. He bowed his head and thanked it for giving its life for him. He was about to eat when, through the smell of blood, he picked up the trace of something familiar; a wolf. It was a not a Whitedapple Wolf, it was not one of the three other packs either. It was a loner, and it had intruded in on his land. He tensed up his muscles, anticipating a fight. He flatted his ears angrily and took a fighting stance, knowing the wolf was close. He pricked an ear forward to listen to every sound that was made in the forest which was filled with the lack of light.

LyraThe Expecting she wolf paused on a rock that seemed to be growing out from the ground and looked around. As she rat on the cold Stone rock, There was a rumble in her Stomach. It seems She had forgotten that it's been a Couple days since she last ate. She decided to void her decision to refrain from Hunting. So She scanned the area for something to eat.
The Shine from the eyes of a deer caught her attention and she Prepared herself to strike it. However something else Struck it first. The smell of Blood pieced her senses, the deer was dead. Lyra sighed and Decided to move on. She turned to leave, but another smell stopped her.
It was clearly a wolf that took that deer down, a male possibly. From the scent it was Probably the Alpha too. She stepped back cautiously and accidentally stepped on a falling twig. CRACK! she gasped, returning to a sitting position.

SNAP!
Lightning heard the snapping of twigs, as well as a gasp that followed. His ears instantly went toward the noise, and he knew by that that the 'intruder' was directly ahead. The pale colored alpha was generally friendly, but only toward his pack mates. If he was friendly toward any other pack or wolf, then it was because they were outside his land, not standing right in the middle of it. He bared his teeth and stepped quietly over the doe, and then charged forward. He leaped through the bushes, roaring with a loud wolf snarl. He came nose to nose with te wolf who had entered his territory, growling angrily.
It was hard to see in this darkness, but he knew that it was a she-wolf. He looked at every detail of her body that he could make out and found that her belly was big and swollen with pups. Seeing that, he calmed and put away his fangs. He backed away a foot or two, though still knew he shouldn't underestimate her because she was pregnant. A pregnant female was still capable of doing harm; it wasn't like they were incompacitated. However, Lightning was a respectful alpha and knew he should not be the one to induce the fight, if ther was to be one. "You... know you're on Whitedapple Pack territory, right?" he asked, curiously.

LyraIt was what she feared, The Twig snapping had set off the male. She watched as the male stepped over his Prey and advanced in her Direction. She had entered his territory and she was about to pay the Price. This doesn't mean she was going to Back down and play lame even if she was pregnant. She Flickered her tail and stood ready in case there was need to Fighting. Soon she was eye to eye with this male. he seemed Ticked off and for the right reasons, but he calmed as he looked her over.
After a moment he seemed to back up a bit but he seemed to still be on guard. He Obviously knew not to under estimate her even if she was expecting. She relaxed as he did, After all she wasn't expecting a fight now. He began to speak, he was was showing a grew amount of respect for her, even if she had just entered his Territory unannounced. Lyra sat down and removed her eyes from his, "I.. I know I'm in someone's territory, Just didn't know who's," She admitted.

Lightning saw the female relax, and now knew that she had no intention of attacking. He deemed that good, and was happy he didn't have to fight her. The pale wolf began to smile warmly. "Are you a loner, or are you part of a pack?" he asked. He hoped she was simply a loner and did not have a wolf pack backing her up. He'd still help her though, since she was due any day it looked like. "If you're hungry, we can share the deer I just killed. If you need a place to rest as well, I'd be happy to get you a place among the nursery den in my camp."
This was going further than his father Thunder Whitedapple would ever have gone; his father was hard, and he probably would have run this she-wolf right off his land, but his son Lightning was a lot more sympathetic. "It's dangerous out in the woods at night," he said with a friendly flashing in his eyes. "If another pack was to attack my camp, it would be at this time and through this path."

LyraThe pleasant Smile came from the Alpha's Maw, a good sign. It was almost a relief to no have to fight him, She could risk her Unborn pups if she did. Then came the question of her status, But what should she tell him; the truth. "No, I mean I use to have a pack," She blinked, "I was an alphess before My mate and I were betrayed by the Beta." Her eyes fell from his as she recalled the memories of the Previous few days.
Her ears Flickered in his direction at the moment he had offered to Allow her to remain the pack until She had her pups. He had offered two things, Shelter and Food. At the though of taking a bite of the Freshly caught Prey, her stomach Growled. That's when She had forgotten to eat in the past couple days. Her red Colored coat Hid the faint Blush on her face, "Uh yeah If you wouldn't mind," She had been out on her own for a while now.
